AGENCIES SRL, in cooperation with its partners in Dubai, is pleased to announce the time-charter acquisition of the Ro-Ro vessel MIMER from the Finnish shipowner Godby Shipping.

The vessel will be deployed in a new regular Ro-Ro service from the FHP terminal in Chioggia (VENICE) to the Libyan ports of BENGHAZI and MISURATA, operated under the MIDLINE SHIPPING brand, for which AGENCIES SRL acts as General Agent for Europe and Turkey.

A New Connection in the Heart of the Mediterranean

In addition to the Libyan ports, the service will also include regular calls at Izmir, creating an efficient logistics bridge between Italy, Turkey and Libya.

The main focus of the service is BENGHAZI, a city currently undergoing a phase of rapid reconstruction and growing demand for infrastructure and machinery, and MISURATA.

Vessel Specifications & Cargo Profile

The MIMER is a Ro-Ro vessel perfectly suited for transporting project cargo, rolling units, and oversized machinery, with the following specifications:

  • Cargo capacity: approx. 1,030 lane meters

  • Deadweight (DWT): 4,491 tons

  • Ro-Ro ramp: up to 180 tons capacity

  • Particularly suitable for MAFI cargo

First Departure: May 23, 2025 – 4 Days Transit Time to Benghazi

The service will run every 15–18 days from Italy and will be the only direct Ro-Ro connection between Europe and Benghazi/Misurata, with an exceptional transit time of just 4 days from the Venezia-Chioggia terminal.
